CAST YOUR CHARACTERS: Dragon's Honor by Michaela Kendrick

AUTHOR: Michaela Kendrick

The Warlord...

From high society banquets in the ice covered skyscrapers of New Arizona, to the most far-flung outposts at the edge of human-occupied space, everyone has heard of Ymir. The Alliance's reach is wide, and its soldiers are well trained, but there are always despots powerful enough to assert themselves, and Ymir has been one of the most notable failures of human history: a whole planet given over to a man known only as the Warlord.

The soldier…

Cade Williams was once a Dragon—the most elite fighting unit in known space. Precise, brutal, and unstoppable, they were a last resort in the lawless wastes of space colonization. But there was a price: in one horrific mission, Cade’s unit took down not only a slave trader, but an entire intergalactic carrier. Cade left and never looked back. Haunted by his past, he’s vowed never again to kill, never again to fight, and, filling jobs from dock worker to bartender, he’s managed to keep that vow. But Cade’s life is about to be turned upside down. Because when at last he runs out of options, his old friend Talon Rift appears out of nowhere. Talon, the man who ordered him to take down the carrier. Talon, who wants him to get back in the game. And when Cade won’t, Talon has a job opportunity he seems to know Cade can’t afford to pass up. Protect a woman. An innocent. Remarkably little chance of anything going wrong. And a man needs to eat.

And the trophy wife…

There are two problems: first, that Cade hates Aryn the moment he lays eyes on her; second, that he wants her like he’s never wanted anyone before in his life. Or make that three problems: Aryn’s fiancé is a weapons trafficker with a well-deserved reputation for being ruthless, and Aryn is about to get caught up in one of his schemes - one that will bring her back to the place she only just escaped...the mines of Ymir.

Henry Cavill as CADE WILLIAMS

A former Dragon who has sworn never to take up arms again.

Astrid Berges-Frisbey as ARYN BERANEK
A former resistance fighter on Ymir, now married to Ellian Pallas

Julian McMahon as ELLIAN PALLAS
An arms trafficker supplying the Warlord of Ymir

Analeigh Tipton as SAMARA
A resistance fighter on Ymir, and Aryn's best friend

Tyler Hoechlin as TALON RIFT
A Dragon, and Cade's former commanding officer

Alice Braga as NYX
A Dragon

Raised on the Dragon Riders of Pern, Star Wars, Star Trek, and a whole bunch of historical romances, Michaela Kendrick grew up adoring the adventure of Science Fiction and the passion of a good love story. Filled with double crossing, grand romantic gestures, sarcasm, and plenty of heat, Michaela's books are just the sort of thing she wants to read herself!

CAST YOUR CHARACTERS: Codename: Night Witch (The Girls from Alcyone) by Cary Caffrey

"Here's my edition of CAST YOUR CHARACTERS. Benedict Cumberbatch? Carice van Houten? Michelle Yeoh? Come on! This one's a slam dunk." - Cary Caffrey

CODENAME: NIGHT WITCH (The Girls from Alcyone)

AUTHOR: Cary Caffrey

DESCRIPTION: I like to think of Codename: Night Witch as a love story. A love story with guns. And stabbing weapons.

Night Witch continues the story of an incredible heroine, Sigrid Novak, a five-foot one (and one half inch, thank you) powerhouse of a character.

The story begins with Sigrid waking to find herself a prisoner in an abandoned research facility. She doesn't know where she is, or how she got there. She doesn't even know if her lover - who she last saw bleeding to death on the field of battle - is even alive. What Sigrid soon discovers is that many, many years have passed since the events of Bellatrix (book two). The world she awakens to is not the place she left. This is a world embroiled in war. Tens of thousands of the Federation's ruling elite are dead, major military facilities destroyed. With every corporate enclave that falls, the legend grows. They call her the Night Witch. A champion to some, a nightmare for others. Wherever she goes, death is soon to follow.

No one knows who this Night Witch is, though Sigrid is starting to suspect.

Lost and alone, and with only the voices in her head for company, Sigrid sets out to learn the truth, and to settle a deadly score once and for all.

Elle Fanning as (teenage) SIGRID NOVAK
Adelaide Clemens as (adult) SIGRID NOVAK

Sigrid: The love child of Lt. Commander Worf and Buffy Summers.

Rila Fukushima as SUKO TANSHO
Every hero needs her champion. Suko will always have Sigrid's back.

Is there anyone else who could play the brilliant matriarch of Alcyone? Hell no!

Benedict Cumberbatch as HARRY JONES
The ultimate puppet master, and the only person crazy enough (or capable enough) to try to capture Sigrid, and to control her and use her for his own purposes. I'm already loving Benedict in this role.

We never really knew what was driving Harry to do the things he did. At least, not until we met Emily. Villainess, or the real hero of the story? You decide.

The "Red Woman" as the magistrate? Slam dunk casting choice! Bloodthirsty, cold and calculating, the magistrate of the Consortium is the ultimate bureaucrat. Who better to play her than the awesome Carice.

Michael Cudlitz as JAFFER
Not the simple transport driver he might seem.

Peter Cushing as BERNAT WEREME (aka Smith/Harry Jones)
Lets' face it. Peter Cushing, circa 1965, would have killed it as Harry Jones.

Cary Caffrey is the author of the best selling Girls from Alcyone trilogy. When not staring at blank pages and blinking cursors, Cary can always be found devouring all things pop culture. Current obsessions include Jessica Jones, Lara Croft and, for better or for worse, Star Wars. Has JJ ever made a good movie? We're about to find out.
